Mustang可以提升58% JVM性能，现在Mustang正在致力于启动速度提升，
如果Java客户端能够达到1秒的启动速度，那么几乎所有其他的语言在客户端图形界面将没有竞争力。下面一个老外见解比较有道理：
I strongly believe that if Java could reach a startup time of 1 (one) second for gui applications (including applets), every other technology would immediately fade away in the sector of rich client applications, and we could redeemed ourselves from this idiotic AJAX hype before it get too hard. I try every new version of Mustang, and I strongly think we are almost there. It would really be a pity if we missed the opportunity to work with the greatest platform available on the front of gui applications just for startup time, and would be forced to use a messed up hell like DHTML, AJAX, CSS and the like.
On the other front the partnership of Sun with Google could finally grant a more robust spread of Java also on Windows box. All this togheter could really start a new era for Java on the desktop, a definitive winning one at last.
Every other aspect is already perfect, Mustang is growing really speed and robust.
Now we just need one second startup time for gui applications.
就差一秒，Java就赢定整个桌面系统，借助google帮助，会成为将来的桌面主流。
