Job Description: Senior Development Engineer – Java Application Servers
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer who will design and build Home Device Service Management software. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in building Java server applications and knowledge of tr069 protocols and/or other communication protocols.
Responsibilities
Work with the Senior Technical Staff & Architect to understand the system architecture
Design and implement key components of the Home Device Management software
Create core Java classes to run within BEA Weblogic application servers/frameworks.
Design and implement servlet , Struts, Spring, Hibernate application layers to support web applications and WSDL/SOAP services.
Create and support code to manage the data object layer and interactions with the JDBC database interface.
Provide unit testing and support of developed applications
Requirements
4-6 years software design and development experience, with a minimum 3+ years of server-side Java (J2EE) development
Recent experience in designing and implementing highly available components as part of complex Internet-based client/server systems in J2EE environment
Solid knowledge of web servers, BEA Weblogic a plus
Good understanding of web infrastructure implementation tools such as Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic or JBOSS.
Experience in distributed computing protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, JMS and Web Services) or network management protocols (TR069, SNMP) is a plus
Knowledge of access technologies (ADSL, LAN, PON) is a plus
Proven ability to design and deliver high quality code on schedule that is unit tested to the highest standards
Ability to work in a team environment, with a hands-on, proactive attitude
Fluent English communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
