关于Gavin King，熟悉Hibernate的人都知道他，他是Hibernate的创建者，目前效力于JBoss，重新设计JBOSS的CMP引擎。

Gavin King不是一个走极端的人，CMP本来和Hibernate是并列好像不相容的两种技术，而且关于谁好谁坏，曾经在Jdon引起争论，他老人家到好，放弃这些技术成见，致力于CMP引擎的改进。

Gavin King is the founder of the Hibernate project. He is co-author of the book Hibernate in Action, to be published by Manning Publications. He is currently involved in the JDO expert group and is employed by JBoss Inc, where he is redesigning the JBoss CMP engine.

补充，CMP是实体Bean Entity Bean中最常用的技术，CMP不属于O/R mapping技术。

我本贴意思不是想再发生CMP和Hibernate的讨论，只是想让大家能够更加详细地、客观地挑选自己适合的技术。
